Question for October 15 - 21, 1998:
Which would you rather be trapped in a room with...
TIGER BAND playing endless renditions of "TIGER RAG" |
OR |
A perpetual cold rain? |
Details:
|
RESULTS:
TIGER
RAG: 9
Cold
rain: 6
Is it just me or does the first option always win? It was a close one though. Here are your comments, listed as always in the order they were received. Record turnout again! 15!
Name: Bonnie
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: This was an easy one. I would definitely choose
the band. I've been there and it's not so bad. I hate being cold
so the rain would be terrible. Just imagine this, endless
renditions of Tiger Rag in a perpetual cold rain... I think you
know what I mean, Kevin.
Name: ryan
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: the rain is just too bad, and until you have
heard Garinger High Schools marching band trying to do the
Olympic theme, you ain't heard nothing
Name: Scott Hardister
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: i choose to vote for the Tiger Band because i
like music. a little "ratta tat tat" isn't gonna hurt
me (only drive me insane). if it did hurt me though, i would
probably take out my headphones, attach it to my portable color t.v.(batteries
included), and hurt it up as loud as i can. mabey i could even
turn on 90210 and annoy the living daylights out of them. we'll
see who has the last laugh!
Name: Noremac
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: I'm so sorry to offend anyone. I really do love
the tiger band. But even after hearing it more than once at a
game I get sick of it and want to scream and murder everyone who
has ever thought of playing or (in TigerRoar's case) singing that
song over and over. Bring on the rain!!!!
Name: David
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: I had to think long and hard on this one, but
I'll have to go with the "Tiger Rag". You know, it does
kind of grow on you after a while. Besides, I could start--"C-L-E-M-S-O-..................N!!!"--getting
into it and imitate the motions the band makes. It would be just
like attending a football game. The cold rain, on the other hand,
is painful. Each drop sends a chill up and down your spine! Going
deaf listening to the "Sound that Shakes the Southland"
or perpetually freezing: hmm...tough choice, but I'll go with the
"Tiger Rag." Go Tigers! Rah, rah, rah!
Name: devang
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: hmmm, this was a tough one, i dont much like
cold rain, so i chose the tiger band, i'm sure they can only take
soo much booing, and me saying "yea you play your little
song, but you still got your booty kicked by the HEELS!!"
this would be followed by hysterical laughing, and after i got
bored with that, i'd talk to kevin, so it couldnt be all that.
And the rules didN't stipulate that i couldnt talk to any of the
members...and kevin...you remember how our conversations always
seem to attract people (i.e. kelli's house!!)
Name: Scott "Schwartzkoff" Galbraith
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: After long deliberation over getting an answer,
I decided that I would rather stick it out with the Tiger Band.
First of all I can at least make fun of Kevin Eudy. Second of all
I can wait until I lose my hearing or just bang my head between
the bars until I knock myself unconscience (preferrably dead).
Best case scenario, I can wait for an Iraqi scud (or Patriot
fragments) to fall from the sky and knock a hole in the wall to
let me out. On my way out I will warn Kevin Eudy to watch his
back, or else...
Name: Dayna
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: I picked the band because I have been deaf
before and can still block out noise but a rain would never
cease, always chill, and just be down right disheartening
Name: John Cliver
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: I think that the rain would be pretty bad, but
at least you could drink some water and maybe a leaf or two would
occasionally fall (just to keep things interesting) and It would
remind me of when i used to run around in the rain in my
underwear (and i could do that too). "The song that shakes
the southland" is too notorious for getting stuck in your
head and when youd get out (if it were that you ever could get
out) you would have to humm it and i hate that.
Name: Jessica
Choice: Tiger Band
Comments: Well Kevin, you never said that I could not have
ear muffs. And that is what I will have, but not any ear muffs,
but those big things that my grandpa wears that block out all
sound. You know what I mean, I know you have them, but you are
too insecure to wear them out in public, but then again, I would
not wear them outside either.
Name: Darren
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: I'm simply tired of it. [Tiger
Rag]
Name: Nathan Q
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: Because I think I could break through the walls
Name: Rishi Khan
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: My experience of the TIGER BAND'S rendition of
anything sends chills up my spine. And besides, I'm only happy
when it rains.....
Name: Chris van Dijk
Choice: Cold Rain
Comments: With Tiger Rag, it wouldn't take even a day to
drive me to kill myself to stop the torture.
Name: Kevin
Choice: Tiger Rag
Comments: Well I found myself switching back and
forth between the two but my final decision was for Tiger Rag. I
think that by now I am completely immune to it. I do not see how
it could be driven any further into my being. I'm assuming that
I'm not in the band in this scenario, but I suppose it
wouldn't matter if I was since I'm also immune to
playing it endlessly. And hey, I'd get to make up a new quint
solo every time after the gliss. Through the band off tempo,
maybe they would stop. Earlier this week though there was a cold
rain during band practice ... I remembered Bonnie's vote and
realized, hey, neither option is so bad since after you've been
through both simultaneously.
