Question for April 14 - September 18:

Which would you rather be trapped in an old barn with...

A Raging Bull

OR

A Raging Bull that is on fire

Details:

  • Old barn, made of wood, ground is covered with hay, and you're locked inside.

RESULTS:

A Raging Bull on fire: 12
A Raging Bull: 8

Name: Kyle B
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: Anyone can subdue a raging bull. But it takes someone special who can subdue a raging bull that is on fire. Besides, a raging bull that is on fire has bigger fish to fry (no pun intended) than a some guy in a barn.

Name: spautz
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: Most old barns have pretty thin walls, so hopefully the bull will knock a hole in one of them and I'll be able to escape. Assuming I can dodge anyway.... If I can't dodge I guess there wouldn't be any difference between the two choices.

Name: Allison
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: Obviously, I would use this raging bull to my advantage to get out of the barn. I would simply wave my handy matador's cape (I always carry one, you know) in front of a weak spot in the wood. I would snatch the cape away at the last moment, the bull would bust through the wall and I'd be free. Simple as that. Also, I'm sure the second option would upset PETA.

Name: Mitchell
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: dont care to much for fire, although it would be cool to see

Name: CLARK
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: I AM NOT GAY .......AND FIRE IS COOL

Name: Taylor Bumpkins
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: I don't see how a movie could hurt me. But a movie on fire... well that's another question.

Name: Super_Dave
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: why did I make this choice, you ask? well.. hey if I'm trapped with a raging bull in a barn... then he might as well be on fire. I feel that i could be elusive enough to have him burn some of the old barn wall.. and just break out of there. Besides... if you're gonna die at the will of a raging bull, it would sound better in the newspaper and to your friends if that bull was on fire. :) bull flambae, if you will.

Name: Chris Aleman
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: I take pride in the ability to move swiftly, evading trouble by simply outrunning whatever attempts to destroy me. However, if trapped in a barn with a raging bull, which is much larger, stronger, and faster that I, it would merely be a matter of time before I would yield to the fearsome beast. On the other hand, if I were staring down a raging bull ON FIRE, at least the hay (which might be slippery, decreasing my chances of evasion, and therefore, survival), as well as the sides of the barn, would eventually burst into flames. The bull, confused by the flames, and panicked by its burning body, would probably worry very little about a relatively small, harmless, creature such as myself. The idea behind my escape, albeit difficult, would be to avoid the flames as long as possible, until, hopefully, the flaming walls would open, allowing me a way out.

Raging Bull on fire
Comments: If the bull's on fire then it would be a steak soon, right?
I'm starving.

Name: Cliver
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: I can't help but think (and i'm just spit-ballin' here) but maybe a charging (pardon) RAGING animal might be a little more dangerous when it is on fire. I'm sure the people will agree with this.

Name: Cynthia
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: because maybe he'll be paying more attention to being on fire than attacking me. (i guess this is a realistic assumption).

Name: DEATH
Who: a friend of Chris Aleman.....
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: it'll be over with much quicker if the bull can concentrate on running me over.......but if he's on fire......that's a different story >:)

Name: Chip
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments:
I think the fire would definitely be better, because after the bull was through goring my body, the fire would have nheated the horns to the point that they would be cauterizing the wounds as they go, so i would just have many holes in me, instead of many bleeding holes in me.

Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments:
No point in being burnt to a crisp while you're being gored. Being gored alone on the other hand can be quite pleasing, as long as it isnt in certain places.

Raging Bull on fire
Comments: if the raging bull was on fire....wouldn't it die?

Name: Allison
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: I honestly can't remember if I've voted for this one yet or not, so I'll do it again and hopefully my answers will be consistent. I don't really have an explanation for this particular answer. But I do have some commentary: Kevin Eudy, what a morbid imagination you have!

Name: Chris
Who: Cliver's current roomie
Choice:
Raging Bull on fire
Comments: I mean why not. Anyone could say a Raging Bull, but you must look past the surface. Of course for a little while a raging bull on fire would present quite a more hostile prediciment. But think of the situation if you survive the bull while it's still raging. Once it finally conks out...FREE STEAK!!!!! All you need is a good house salad, fries, and sweet tea and you're set.

Name: spautz
Comments: I'll take either of them, so long as I find out which one is preferred by more eudycall.com visitors! ;-)

Name: tj
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: mental trauma of watching a bull burn is doubly attrocious. Plus, why go down in flames and get gored? Hmmph.

Name: Jason Grygier
Who: CUD Freshman, bass #2
Choice:
Raging Bull
Comments: I thought that I could use the fire to incapacitate the bull or escape from the barn, but then I realized the hay would catch on fire and kill me before some hole magically burned through the wall.
